In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, WPJWA has suspended lobby and drive thru operating hours. Drop box is available for payments. When signing for service, customers must call into our office (412) 243-6200 between the hours of 8 am and 4:30 pm. We are temporarily accepting all necessary paperwork via email after a telephone call has been made. In addition, we have suspended customer home visits, except under emergency conditions.
We are also maintaining a self-imposed moratorium on shutting off customer water service starting Monday March 16th, 2020. Please be aware that even though the Water Authority has placed a moratorium on water service shutoffs, you will still receive your delinquent notices should your water bill become delinquent. We are required by law to send these notifications.
When this moratorium is lifted by the Authority you will be reissued a new pink notice for each delinquent bill with a new water service shut off date for any bills that are 60 days past due. A past due bill that has an amount due of $150 or more may be eligible to be put onto a payment plan, making payment easier.
You will continue to receive your monthly water bill during this moratorium and should pay your bill if possible, this will allow you to avoid a larger payment when the moratorium is lifted and avoid water service being shut off. You can make payments by mail or through our website at www.wpjwa.com , select Pay Bill and use our web portal option. You may also pay by phone, dial 844 303-0917 and follow the instructions.
These actions will be effective immediately.
